Calls for proposals
There are currently no open calls for proposals. Unsolicited applications are not accepted.
Calls for proposals are announced on the WEEPI Foundation's website, via social media and through other dissemination channels.

When submitting an online application, the following documents will have to be uploaded:
- Budget (in the template provided)
- Gantt chart (in the template provided)
- Deliverables and milestones (in the template provided)
- Risks and mitigation measures (in the template provided)
- CVs of core project team members
- A letter from the governing body of your institution/organization, endorsing the application and acknowledging that if funding is provided, the final responsibility for the project lies with the governing body.
Since the WEEPI Foundation was established, six calls for proposals have been launched:
First funding round
- Call for stage 1 proposals (stage 1.1 projects). Deadline 1 March 2020. Duration: 12 months. Max budget: 30 000 CHF. Seven projects granted.
- Call for stage 2 proposals (stage 1.2 projects). Deadline 31 January 2022. Duration: 36 months. Max budget: 200 000 CHF. Successful stage 1.1 grantees were eligible to apply. Three projects granted.
Extraordinary call for proposals
(emergency projects, supporting provision of care for people affected by the war in Ukraine)
Deadline 29 April 2022. Duration: 12 months. Max budget: 50 000 CHF. Four projects granted.
Second funding round
- Call for stage 1 proposals (stage 2.1 projects). Deadline 30 September 2022. Duration: 12 months. Max budget: 30 000 CHF. Five projects granted.
- Call for Stage 2 proposals (stage 2.2 projects). Deadline 7 October 2024. Duration: up to 3 years. Max budget: 300 000 CHF. Successful stage 2.1 grantees were eligible to apply. Decision pending.
Third funding round
- Call for stage 1 proposals (stage 3.1 projects). Deadline: 1 April 2025. Duration: 12 months. Max budget: 30 000 CHF.
